Timesheet Approval is a powerful tool for managing your Staff's timesheets. You can lock days or weeks from new Staff entries, approve or decline Staff timesheets, and even manage Staff time entries and rates all on the Timesheet Review screen.

How to Set Up Timesheet Approval
To set up Timesheet Approval, navigate to your Settings and then select "Timesheet Approval":
On this screen you can choose settings for your Timesheets including if you want to flag overlapping time records, overnight time records, or time records over a maximum amount of time.
This is also where you set who has Approval Scope for what users. You can enable a Staff member to approve Timesheets for All Staff, Specific Staff that you select on this page, or Team Members which is everyone on the same team.
To set this, click in to the "Approval Scope" column to set the desired scope, then if choosing specific staff select them in the "Approves For" column.
How to Review Timesheets
Once you have Timesheets ready to review, navigate to the Timesheet page and select "Review":
On this page you can Approve a Timesheet, Decline a Timesheet, and Lock a Timesheet. You can also manage Time entries.
How to Approve a Timesheet
To approve a single Timesheet, click the lightning bolt icon next to the submitted Timesheet, then select "Approve Week":
You will then be able to add a note to your approval, and click "Approve" to send the approval to the user:
To approve a single day on the Timesheet, click the green check mark on the day you wish to approve:

To bulk approve all timesheets, click the lightning bolt in the header row and select "Approve All" to approve all submitted time entries, or "Approve And Lock All" to approve all submitted Timesheets and lock all unsubmitted Timesheets:
How to Decline a Timesheet
To decline a single Timesheet, click the lightning bolt icon next to the submitted Timesheet, then select "Decline Week":
You will then be able to add a note to your declined time, and click "Decline" to send the declined time back to the user:
To decline a single day on the Timesheet, click the red x on the day you wish to decline:

To bulk decline all timesheets, click the lightning bolt in the header row and select "Decline All" to approve all submitted time entries:
How to Lock a Timesheet
Locking a Timesheet prevents further time entries from being made and existing time entries from being modified, without approving the timesheet.
To lock a single Timesheet week, click the lightning bolt for submitted Timesheets or lock icon for unsubmitted Timesheets next to the Timesheet, then select "Lock Week":
To lock a single day on the Timesheet, click the lock icon on the day you wish to lock:
To bulk lock all timesheets, click the lightning bolt in the header row and select "Lock All" to lock all time entries:
Unlocking a locked timesheet works very similarly. Click "Unlock" against a week to unlock a week:
Click "Unlock" against a day to unlock a specific day:
To unlock all Timesheets on a week at once, use the bulk action menu and select "Unlock All":
How to Manage Time Logs on the Timesheet Review Page
The powerful Nexus Timesheet page also allows you to manage time logs directly on the review screen. You can adjust the rate of the time log, change the amount of time or the time and date it was logged on, split the time log between multiple entries, or delete it entirely.
To manage the time logs, click on the user you wish to review. This will expand the view of that user so that you can see their individual time logs:
To change the rate of a time log, click in to the Rate column and select the Rate you wish to use:
To Edit a time log, hover to the right of the time log you wish to edit, then click the Edit button:
This brings up the entry edit modal, where you can change the total time, the time and date that the entry is associated to, or even the Project and/or Item the entry is associated to:
To split a time log, hover to the right of the log you wish to split, and click the "Split" button:
This allows you to split the time log into two time logs based on the amount of time you designate for the new time log:
To delete a time log, hover to the left of the time log you wish to delete and click the delete button:
