Recurring Actions are a feature of ProWorkflow's Advanced plan that allow you to schedule recurring Projects or emailed reports at a frequency of your choosing. If you are on our Professional Plan, and would like to talk to us about switching to the Advanced Plan, please reach out to Support at support@proworkflow.com and we'll be happy to help.
How to Schedule Recurring Projects
Recurring Projects work by cloning an existing Project and replicating it at the frequency that you dictate. So the first step in creating a recurring Project is to create and configure a Project that you wish to base your clones off of.
Once that is ready, to schedule recurring Projects, navigate to your settings and choose "Recurring Actions"
Once you are on this page, in the top section for Recurring Projects click "Create Clone Action"
Then, search for and select the Project you wish to clone:
After you've selected the Project you wish to base your recurring Projects on, you can configure how recurring Projects are created. You can set the parameters for naming the Projects, the Client the Projects are created against, whether the dates on the original Project are kept, shifted relative to the creation date of the new project, or removed entirely, and whether or not you include the tags, Items, and allocated time from the original Project.
You can also configure the frequency with which your Projects get created. This can be configured to any frequency and any particular day of the week or month that you wish. You can also set a time that the Projects are created at, and, if you wish, a start and end date for the recurring action.
Once you have configured the settings for this action as you wish, click "Create Schedule" and your recurring Project is ready to be created at the frequency you have set.
To edit an existing recurring Project, click the Pencil icon (
) to the right of the Project. To pause a recurring Project from being created, but maintain the schedule to enable later, click the pause button (
). To re-activate a paused recurring Project click the play button (
). To delete a recurring Project click the trash can (
