Email Notifications can be managed at a site-wide level and at an individual level. They can also be turned on or off at a Project level.
Managing Site-Wide Notifications
To manage Email Notifications at a site-wide level, navigate to the Settings section of your site, and select Email Notifications from the left-hand menu
The first section on this page are your General Settings. General Settings allow you to toggle the default setting for Notifications to "Off" or "On" (this can then be customized per Project on the Project details page). This will change the default standard for new projects, not existing projects. You can also add a Default Email Signature (note that for users who add their own signature, the site default signature will be overwritten).
Below this section, the Project Notifications section allows you to choose which actions or states on a Project level trigger a notification, and for what types of Users:
The Item Notifications section likewise allows you to choose which actions or states on an Item level trigger a notification, and for what types of Users:
Modifying settings in these two sections will apply to any future actions on Projects where notifications are enabled.
How to Enable or Disable Notifications on a Project
To enable notifications on a Project ensure that the bell in the top right corner of the project is a solid color. If it is not, click on it to enable notifications:
To disable notifications on a Project, ensure the bell is not solidly colored, and has a line through it. If it does not appear like this, click the bell to disable notifications:
How to Manage Individual Notification Settings
At an individual level, a user can click on their icon in the top right-hand corner of their screen and select "Edit Profile" to modify their own notification preferences. They can choose to turn Email Notifications either "On" or "Off" globally across all Projects (the settings on individual Projects will override this):
