This article describes the steps for how to add a Quote to an existing Project. For our guide on creating a Project from a quote, please see this article.
Adding a Quote from The Project Details Page
To add a Quote from the Project Details page, navigate to the Project you wish to add a Quote to, open up the right-hand menu, and click the "+ Add" button in the Quotes section (if you do not see this section, you will need to add it in your Page Layout settings - please see this help article):
This brings up the Create a Quote from a Project screen, which allows you to select the Items from the Project that you wish to add to the Quote:
After you hit "Create" you have a Quote associated to your Project. You can see the Project name in the top left corner:
Adding a Quote to a Project from the Quotes Page
To add a Quote to a Project from the Quotes page, hover over the "Quotes" link in your left-hand menu, then select "+ Add"
On the Quote creation screen, click in the "Quote From" box and select "Project":
Select the Project you wish to create a Quote for, then click "Next"
Select the Items you wish to add to the Quote from the Project, then click "Create":
After you hit "Create" you have a Quote associated to your Project. You can see the Project name in the top left corner:
Linking an Existing Quote to a Project
To link an Existing Quote to a Project, hover over the Quote you wish to link, then click the ellipsis that appears to the right of that Quote:
From the menu that appears, select "Link Project":
You can then select the Project you wish to link this Quote to, by clicking on the "Project" menu and selecting the appropriate Project, then clicking "Submit"
You will then see the Project you have chosen associated to the Quote on the Quotes List page, and when you view the Quote:
The Quote will also now appear in the Quotes section of the Project Details page of the Project you have added it to:
Alternatively, you can also link a Quote while you are viewing or editing the Quote. Just click on the ellipsis in the top right corner of the Quote you are viewing and select "Link To A Project":
You can then select the Project you wish to link this Quote to, by clicking on the "Project" menu and selecting the appropriate Project, then clicking "Submit"
You will then see the Project on the Quote, as well as when you view the Quotes List page:
The Quote will also now appear in the Quotes section of the Project Details page of the Project you have added it to:
