Contact tags are micro statuses applied to your Staff contacts. They will be listed just to the right of the Staff member's name on the contact page.
It is common to use these tags to ascribe certain skills or proficiencies, as this can quickly help you identify staff members with the required skills for certain projects.
Tags can be created/managed by clicking the small icon next to anyone's name:
